Motorcyclist dies in crash after losing control

A 47-year-old Spring Hill man died of injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling east on Coronado Drive, west of Whitewood Avenue, at about 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11.

The other vehicle, a Volkswagen All Track, driven by a 43-year-old Spring Hill man, was going west on Coronado Drive.

For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle, which crossed over to the westbound lanes and collided with the Volkwagen.

Transported to an area hospital, the motorcyclist later died from injuries suffered during the crash.

The driver of the SUV and his two passengers suffered minor injuries.
