One person is dead following a hit-and-run crash at Lee Boulevard and Hanna Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
The crash happened around 5:32 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 26-year-old Lehigh Acres man was killed in the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
The FHP report says three vehicles were involved, including an “unknown vehicle” that fled the scene.
According to FHP, the unknown vehicle is possibly a white Dodge Ram work truck. Troopers said they believe the vehicle was driven by a Hispanic male.
The driver exited a parking lot access road east of Hanna Avenue North to travel west on Lee Boulevard.
The motorcycle that the Lehigh Acres man was riding was heading west on Lee Boulevard.
A third vehicle, an SUV driven by a 39-year-old Lehigh Acres woman, was going east on Lee Boulevard.
The suspected hit-and-run driver entered the westbound travel lanes of Lee Boulevard and collided with the motorcycle, according to the report.
Following the collision, the motorcycle was then redirected into the eastbound travel lanes and collided with the SUV.
FHP said anyone with information regarding the person who drove away from the scene can contact FHP or SWFL Crime Stoppers.
