A crash Thursday morning involving a motorcycle and a Toyota sedan left one person dead and disrupted traffic on I-95 southbound near Baymeadows Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was speeding southbound on I-95 just before 3 a.m. when it slammed into the back of the Toyota.
The 37-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries from the impact, troopers said. He was wearing a helmet, according to the report.
The 34-year-old woman driving the Toyota and her 26-year-old passenger were not hurt. Both women were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
To investigate, officials shut down the right southbound lane and the on-ramp from Baymeadows Road (State Road 152) to I-95. The lanes have since reopened.
