Motorcyclist, e-bike rider hospitalized in separate Palm Beach County crashes

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue had a busy hour Thursday evening, responding to back-to-back crashes involving a motorcycle and an e-bike.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, crews responded at about 6:20 p.m. to a crash in the Jupiter Bay and U.S. 1 area. When firefighters arrived, they found a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist met trauma alert criteria and was taken to the hospital. The Jupiter Police Department is investigating.

About 70 minutes later, at 7:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to another crash near the intersection of Bell Lane and Forest Hill Boulevard in Palm Springs. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said an investigation determined an e-bike rider was involved in a crash with a vehicle.

The e-bike rider was taken to the hospital.

The Palm Springs Police Department is investigating.
