Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Port Orange

A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash early Sunday morning, according to Port Orange Police Department.

The crash happened around 6:18 a.m. at the intersection of Madeline Avenue and Sunset Cove Drive.

The motorcyclist was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach in critical condition.

The department said there were no other vehicles or individuals involved.
