Motorcyclist killed after being run over by semi-truck, car on I-75

A North Port man was killed early Sunday morning after a four-vehicle crash on I-75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP said at 2:47 a.m., a 25-year-old motorcyclist was heading south on I-75 in Sarasota County when he crashed into a car that was in front of him, knocking him off his vehicle.

However, the man was then run over twice, once by a semi-truck and once by a sedan that was behind the truck.

He then died at the scene, troopers said.

The FHP said no one else was injured in the incident.
