A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Ridge Manor on Saturday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At around 7 p.m., two cars were waiting in a left-turn lane on US-301, heading onto Whispering Oaks Blvd. In front was a Kia Sorrento driven by a 66-year-old Dade City man, and behind him was a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 44-year-old Ridge Manor woman.
The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old Webster man, was coming from the opposite direction, approaching Whispering Oaks Blvd.
FHP said the Kia Sorrento turned into the path of the motorcycle and was struck by it, the force of which caused the cyclist to be thrown off the bike and collide with the Jeep Cherokee. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Neither driver was injured in the crash, FHP said.
