Motorcyclist killed after crashing into guardrail on Florida's Turnpike: Florida Highway Patrol

A motorcyclist who was traveling on Florida’s Turnpike on Saturday was killed after they lost control and crashed into a guardrail, troopers said.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two motorcyclists were traveling together and were heading to the eastbound State 836 exit ramp when one of them lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the guardrail.

When the motorcyclist crashed into the guardrail, their motorcycle collided with the other motorcyclist, troopers said.

The motorcyclist who lost control was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other one was taken to the Kendal HCA with minor injuries.

Their identities have not been confirmed.

The exit ramp has since been closed as an investigation into the crash remains active.
