Motorcyclist killed after crashing while going around a curve in Seminole County: Florida Highway Patrol

A motorcyclist is dead after crashing while going around a curve in Seminole County Friday morning, according to troopers.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. on Rinehart Road and Plantation Lakes Circle in Sanford.

Authorities said a Honda CBR600RR motorcycle was headed northbound on Rinehart Road when it ran off the roadway while going around a curve.

The rider was thrown from the bike. They were taken to a local hospital where they died. 

Their identity has not been released. 

The area is closed as troopers investigate.
