A 39-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday night after his bike violently struck the back of an SUV on State Road 7.
According to a crash report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly crash happened around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of State Road 7 and Victoria Groves Blvd in Royal Palm Beach.
Investigators say 39-year-old H of Royal Palm Beach was riding a Suzuki motorcycle southbound on SR 7 when a BMW SUV made a U-turn from the northbound lanes to go southbound ahead of the motorcycle.
The front of H’s motorcycle violently impacted the back of the SUV, ejecting him over 200 feet before coming to a final rest.
H, who was wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:10 p.m.
