Motorcyclist killed in Auburndale crash

A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash with another vehicle in Auburndale, according to the police department.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 5:50 p.m. on Highway 92 near 1st Street.

According to the Auburndale Police Department, officers responded to the wreck and found MAW, 47, in the roadway.

Police said Polk County Fire Rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but W was later pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was released.

An investigation is ongoing.
