Motorcyclist killed in crash at Palm Coast intersection, troopers say.

A motorcyclist riding through Palm Coast died Wednesday night after crashing with a car making a turn, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal wreck occurred at the intersection of Matanzas Woods and Belle Terre parkways, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the 60-year-old Palm Coast man riding the motorcycle was traveling east on Matanzas Woods Parkway as another vehicle — a sedan driven by a 73-year-old Lakeland man — was westbound.

At the intersection, the sedan’s driver attempted to make a left turn onto Belle Terre Parkway, the report states. The front of the car then struck the front of the motorcycle, throwing the Palm Coast man off the bike and onto the roadway, troopers said.

Both men were taken to a hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead, according to FHP. The Lakeland man suffered minor injuries, troopers said.
