Motorcyclist killed in crash in west Miami-Dade

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash Sunday in west Miami-Dade.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 8 p.m. in the area of Southwest 122nd Place and 18th Street.

Deputies confirmed that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to a hospital in critical condition.

He later died from his injuries.

Deputies said the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.

The motorcyclist has been identified only as an “adult male.”

Deputies said the MDSO Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash.

It’s unclear at this time who was at fault.
