A motorcyclist has died after he crashed into a barrier wall Monday morning on the Interstate 395 exit ramp to Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, authorities confirmed.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 5:30 a.m. on the westbound exit ramp.
Troopers said the victim, identified only as an adult male, crashed into the barrier wall and was ejected from his motorcycle, coming to rest in a construction zone.
The man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died.
The exit ramp is currently closed. All traffic leaving the beach and heading across the MacArthur Causeway is currently being forced to exit onto Biscayne Boulevard.
