Motorcyclist seriously injured in Escambia County crash

A 26-year-old man from Cantonment has serious injuries after a crash on Sunday night in Escambia County.

Troopers say the accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Booker Street and Booker Avenue.

A 20-year-old Pensacola woman was driving a pickup truck and began to make a left turn onto Booker Avenue when the 26-year-old motorcyclist attempted to pass the truck, according to FHP. This led to the front of the motorcycle colliding with the left side of the pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
