Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Boca Raton crash.

A motorcycle rider was badly injured Thursday evening after colliding with an SUV in Boca Raton, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBCO).

The Sheriff’s Office explained the northbound Chevrolet Tahoe had stopped on State Road 7 near West Boca Plaza around 7:15 p.m., and the driver was waiting to turn left.

The motorcycle, which was in the inside lane of the road, came up behind the SUV and did not slow down or stop, the PBSO statement indicated. Investigators determined the motorcycle, a Zhejiang ADR-126, stuck the Tahoe’s right rear corner, throwing the rider off and into the center lane of the road.

He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. PBSO’s statement listed the 26-year-old man as being in serious condition at the time.
