Motorcyclist thrown from vehicle, strikes pedestrian before being killed in Seminole County crash.

A 63-year-old motorcyclist from Winter Springs was killed after he was thrown from his bike in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Trooper said the crash happened at Howell Branch Rod and Winterbrook Way around 5:27 p.m.

According to a crash report, the motorcycle was traveling east on Howell Branch Road approaching Winterbrook Way at the same time a pedestrian was walking east on the south sidewalk of Howell Branch Road.

Troopers said the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve and ran off of the roadway right and collided with the curb before being thrown from the vehicle. As a result, the man crashed into a pedestrian, identified as a 23-year-old Winter Park woman.

The man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

The woman was not injured and remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
