Deputies responded to a scene of a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pondella Road and Barrett Road in North Fort Myers.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) advised all drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as they investigated the crash.
The North Fort Myers Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services, and LCSO units were at the scene for hours.
Our NBC2 reporter says someone was being loaded onto a stretcher and into an ambulance.
The cause of the crash has not been provided yet.
