Multi-vehicle crash leaves 2 people dead, 4 injured

Florida Highway Patrol officials have confirmed that two people are dead, and four people are injured following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred near Lindsey Crossing and Pipeline Road off of Highway 231.

The incident caused major traffic delays, closing one northbound and one southbound lane of 231. The lanes have since reopened.

Florida Highway Patrol officials confirmed to News13 that three vehicles were involved in the incident.

The injured individuals were transported to a hospital.
