UPDATE AS OF 08/20/2025: The Florida Highway Patrol said that the driver and front passenger received serious injuries from the crash. The third occupant of the vehicle is in critical condition.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Sometime around 8 p.m., Bay County Sheriff’s deputies, Bay County Fire and EMS and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a car crash off West 98 coming off the Hathaway Bridge.
News 13 spoke to the mother of the driver, who was at the scene. She says three individuals were in the car and on the way to Top Golf for the driver’s 17th birthday.
All three individuals have been transported to a local hospital. It’s unclear what their medical status is at this time. We reached out to FHP officials. They say they plan on sending more details in the near future.
