Multiple injuries after SUV and golf cart collision on CR 30A; 1 airlifted

An SUV attempting to make a right turn onto County Road 30A collided with a golf cart carrying multiple passengers on Saturday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the SUV was driven by a 32-year-old man from Austin, Texas. When he tried to make a right turn onto County Road 30A from Heron’s Watch Way. A golf cart was nearing the intersection of Heron’s Watch Way at the same time. The SUV collided with the golf cart, with the front left of the SUV hitting the right side of the golf cart.

FHP says five of the people in the golf cart were taken to Ascension Sacred Heart in Panama City with non-life-threatening injuries. One golf cart passenger was life-flighted to HCA Fort Walton with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

No injuries were reported for the driver or passenger in the SUV.
