Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Cays Drive in Collier County.
FHP says 43-year-old Marshall Franklin Jenkins of Naples was placed under arrest for DUI Manslaughter, DUI with Property Damage, and DUI with injury and booked into the Collier County Jail.
According to FHP, Jenkins was driving his pickup truck south on U.S. 41 near Cays Drive when he crossed over the center line and collided with a motorcycle, sending the motorcyclist flying off his bike.
FHP says debris hit two other motorcyclists and another motorcycle collided with the original motorcyclist, who was hit by Jenkins.
The original motorcyclist hit was pronounced dead on scene.
The other motorcyclists all sustained minor injuries.
FHP says all of U.S. 41 at Cays Drive was shut down, but as of 8 p.m., the road is back open.
FHP says the crash remains under investigation.
