North Fort Myers man killed in morning crash on I-75

A 19-year-old North Fort Myers man was killed this morning in a motorcycle/tractor trailer truck crash on I-75.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 5:55 a.m. when the North Fort Myers man’s motorcycle collided with the rear of the tractor trailer on I-75 near the State Route 82 exit.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

FHP reported that the driver of the tractor trailer, a 47-year-old man from Lakeland, Fla., and a passenger in the truck, a 35-year-old male from Valdosta, Ga., were uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
