An investigation is underway into a shooting along Mayberry Avenue in North Port Thursday evening.
The North Port Police Department said that at approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to reports of two people shooting at each other.
According to NPPD, no injuries were reported, the subjects fled on foot and a perimeter is in place.
Four people have been detained as police work to determine if others were involved in the incident.
Police said this is an active investigation.
