A closed bedroom door helped Ocala firefighters contain a house fire Thursday night.
Ocala Fire Rescue officials say firefighters were called to a home on Southwest 54th Court at around 5:45 p.m. in response to a structure fire.
Crews arrived at the home to heavy smoke coming from a single-family home.
Fire rescue officials say they believe the source of the fire came from the master bedroom and found the door closed, which reduced the fire’s spread. Crews were able to put out the fire
One person inside was able to get out safely and no one was injured. OFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
