Ocala man dies after motorcycle crash in Marion Oaks

A 20-year-old man from Ocala is dead after crashing his motorcycle early Tuesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the 20-year-old was riding his motorcycle north on n Marion Oaks Boulevard at a high rate of speed just before 5:00 a.m.

A 44-year-old ma was driving a semi-truck west on Marion Oaks Drive and was stopped at stop sign at the intersection of Marion Oaks Boulevard. As the semi-truck started driving north on Marion Oaks Boulevard, the motorcyclist hit the semi-truck.

The motorcyclist died before getting to the hospital, and the semi-truck driver didn’t suffer any injuries.
