Two Orange County men are shaken up and recovering after getting pistol whipped and robbed as they walked to their home in Ocoee over the weekend.
“He was all covered in blood,” a neighbor said.
This neighbor called 911 after she and another neighbor saw two men on South Circle Key Drive in Ocoee, injured and bleeding.
“One was hurt worse than the other. Like, he had a bad… cut, Gash? He was bleeding out so bad that that’s what made me call,” she said.
Ocoee Police say the two men were walking home from El Tequila around 11 p.m. Saturday night when they were attacked not far in the neighborhood of Pioneer Key.
Police say the suspect is described as a black man in his 30s with his hair in five-to-six-inch twists. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and pants.
Police say the suspect was driving a white SUV, seen heading east on South Circle Key Drive.
Ocoee Police tell WESH 2 News the man got out of the driver’s side of the car, walked towards the victims, pistol whipped them, and then took both of their wallets, got back into the car and drove off.
“You shouldn’t be, have to be scared to walk back home from somewhere — not everybody, not everywhere, has cars, but that happens a lot around here. Like, people take advantage of the fact that they’re drinking and you they think that’s a good target,” the neighbor said.
