According to reports, around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, officials responded to a residence near 19th Street and Lombardy Avenue, leading to an officer-involved shooting, according to authorities on scene.

A strong law enforcement presence is in the area.

According to the Panama City Police Department, the investigation into the incident has been handed over to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement per standard procedure.
