JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigators, and Jackson County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a shooting in Jacob on Sunday.
According to a news release, upon arrival, it was discovered that one person had been shot.
During the investigation, officials said this was related to an ongoing dispute that has been occurring in Graceville.
It was discovered that one of the parties involved, Reginald Williams was on state probation and is a convicted felon, officials wrote.
On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the JCSO and Graceville Police Department assisted state probation and parole in conducting a search warrant on Williams’ home.
During a search of the residence, a black semi-automatic pistol was reportedly located.
Williams was arrested and is being charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
