One dead after dirt bike crashes with SUV in Fort Myers

One person is dead after a dirt bike crashed with an SUV in Fort Myers on Tuesday morning.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, they are investigating a fatal crash along 4135 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

NBC2 crews at the scene saw a black SUV with damage to the front bumper and a motorcycle turned on its side in the road.

Westbound lanes will be closed as FMPD works to find out the cause of the crash.

FMPD states traffic is being redirected onto Michigan Avenue.
