One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Palm Beach Boulevard in Alva on Monday.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Hickeys Creekside around 7:15 a.m.
Troopers said a 31-year-old Hendry man was driving west on Palm Beach Blvd., east of Hickeys Creekside.
At the same time, a 55-year-old Glades man was driving east on Palm Beach Blvd., west of Hickeys Creekside.
According to the press release, the Hendry man was driving too fast for the conditions before traveling across the grass median, entering the eastbound lanes and colliding with the 55-year-old Glades man.
FHP said the Hendry man was pronounced dead on the scene.
