One person has died following a camper fire in Bartow on Monday, the Polk County Fire Rescue announced.
Fire rescue crews arrived on the scene at 3:45 p.m. to find the camper in flames.
The victim was pulled from the camper but life-saving measures were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Polk County Fire Rescue said they got water on the fire at 3:48 p.m. and had it under control by 3:54 p.m.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s office.
