One dead, one critically injured in motorcycle crash in Gulf County

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle crash in Gulf County on Sunday.

According to a news release, a vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road 5 when it crossed the center line and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and came to a final rest on the west shoulder of CR 5, troopers said.

Troopers confirmed both the driver and passenger were unseated from the motorcycle.

Troopers said the driver was 56 year old man who was critically injured. The passenger a 56 year old woman was pronounced dead, both from Fountain Florida, investigators said.

This is currently an open and ongoing investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.
