One left with serious injuries after interstate rear-end crash.

One person was reportedly left with serious injuries after a crash on Interstate 10 in Jackson County Friday afternoon.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said around 1 p.m., near mile marker 148, there was a pickup truck with a vehicle in tow driving eastbound on Interstate 10 with an SUV driving behind it.

Troopers said the SUV driver did not see the truck and crashed into the back of the vehicle in tow. They said after the initial impact, the SUV swerved and off of the road and onto the shoulder.

The SUV then reportedly crashed head-on into a tree.

Troopers reported after the impact, the pickup truck also swerved and drove off the road, then began to spin out. Troopers said the left rear side of the vehicle hit a tree. They added the vehicle in two had become detached from its trailer.

Officials said the driver of the SUV, a man from Tallahassee, sustained serious injuries in the crash. They said the driver and two passengers in the pickup truck were not injured in the crash.
