Twenty-seven Marion County students are uninjured after a traffic crash involving a school bus.

Marion County Fire Rescue units were called to the scene right before 9 a.m. this morning.

The crash took place at the intersection of SE 150th St and SE 36th Avenue.

911 callers reported a passenger vehicle had rear-ended a school bus.

Fire crews said the driver of the passenger vehicle was trapped in the wreck.

They removed the car doors to get to the driver, and declared her a “trauma alert.” She was then transported to the hospital.

All the children on the bus were reported unharmed on the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
