Orlando police searching for hit-and-run driver after crash injures 13-year-old riding bike.

Orlando police are calling on the public to help them identify a woman who they believe hit a 13-year-old girl riding her bike.

They are offering a $1,000 reward for information about the woman.

Police say it happened on Jan. 17 around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Conway Road and Haverstraw Avenue.

Police say the woman stopped for a brief moment and then took off.

Police believe she was driving a silver 2021 or newer Kia Rio.

A resident who lives at the corner where the crash happened said the girl’s back tire was hit.

“I just saw the girl lying right there on the sidewalk,” said Daniel Rodriguez.

Despite signs telling drivers to slow down for pedestrians and a crosswalk just two blocks away, drivers could be seen speeding.

“It’s getting really busy because there is a lot of traffic. It’s overcrowded. People keep moving over here,” Rodriguez said.

The 13-year-old was taken to the hospital.

We reached out to Orlando police to get the latest status of her condition, but our calls weren’t immediately answered.
