Orlando police: Teen found with loaded gun in bag, arrested at bus stop.

Orlando police have arrested a 16-year-old boy after they say he held a gas station clerk at gunpoint and fired shots during an armed robbery.

According to the Orlando Police Department, officers responded to an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven located on N. Orange Blossom Trail on March 25 around 5:36 a.m. Officers say that during the robbery, the suspect held the clerk at gunpoint and fired a round that nearly struck the clerk.

Detectives identified the suspect as a 16-year-old boy and approached him on Thursday at the bus stop. There, the boy was arrested.

Police say he had a loaded firearm in his backpack.

The boy is charged with robbery armed with a firearm while wearing a mask, aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a delinquent, police say.
