A man has filed a lawsuit against the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
In the lawsuit, he claimed that in July 2022, he was injured after issues with an elevator in a Disney Springs parking garage.
The lawsuit alleges the Osceola County man, Michael Johnson, was injured after the elevator dropped “several feet suddenly and without warning, then stopping abruptly, forcefully shaking, and dropping again before ascending to the fifth floor.”
Reedy Creek was accused of negligence and “failing to realize the faulty condition” of the elevator. WESH 2 has reached out to officials with the district for a comment and is waiting to hear back.
