Palatka man arrested after attacking nurse, officer at HCA North Florida Hospital

A 60-year-old Palatka man is facing felony battery charges after attacking a nurse at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville and an arresting officer.

Craig Lee, 60, became confrontational as his nurse tried to help him back to his room, according to the arrest report. Lee demanded she let go, struck her in the chest, and pinned her wrist to the wall.

A nurse who witnessed the attack said she heard the victim’s wrist pop.

Authorities say Lee also dug his nail into an officer’s hand as she adjusted his handcuffs. He is facing felony battery charges.
