Palm Bay man killed when motorcycle, pickup truck collide in Melbourne

A 49-year-old Palm Bay man was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in Melbourne, police said.

The fatal wreck happened on Eber Boulevard at Forest Lake Drive.

Melbourne police said Frank Nickolas Washburn was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Eber Boulevard and struck a Toyota Tundra, driven by a 32-year-old Melbourne woman, who was turning to go west on Eber from Forest Lake.

Washburn was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

An investigation will determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, according to police.

No other crash details were released.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Melbourne police at 321-615-6649.
