Palm Beach County shooting leaves one dead, one injured; suspect sought

Detectives are investigating a Friday shooting that left one man dead and another injured in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) deputies say they responded to reports of a shooting just before 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lake Terry in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

When they arrived, deputies reported discovering one man deceased and another suffering from a gunshot wound.

The injured victim was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to PBSO.

Preliminary findings by detectives from the Violent Crimes Division suggest the incident may have been targeted.

No suspect information has been released by PBSO at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and deputies say additional details will be provided as they become available.
