Palm Coast man killed when pickup goes off road, strikes tree on US 1, FHP says.

A Palm Coast man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday on U.S. 1 in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 42-year-old man was driving a pickup northbound in the left lane of U.S. 1 north of County Road 202 about 2:20 p.m. when the crash occurred, FHP stated.

The driver lost control of the pickup, which caused it to drive onto the grass median. The driverthen overcorrected, causing the pickup to rotate clockwise across both northbound lanes, the FHP stated.

The pickup went into the right shoulder with the left side striking a tree.
