Around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, a 61-year-old man was hit by a truck in Bay County.
The vehicle was traveling in the northbound lane of Star Avenue when it hit the pedestrian also walking along the northbound lane, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The man was thrown into a nearby mailbox. He later died at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital.
Bay County Fire Rescue, Bay County EMS, and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
