A Panama City man will be facing criminal charges after he crashed his Camaro and fled the scene.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 2016 Chevy Camaro was heading west on State Road 388 in the early morning hours on Thursday.
FHP says the driver lost control of his car as he was passing another vehicle in the eastbound lane. The Camaro went into a ditch and later became airborne and flipped over.
The driver fled the scene, leaving his vehicle in the trees. Authorities say the driver was picked up by a coworker before emergency personnel arrived.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the Camaro was later located and taken to an area hospital, where he was found with serious injuries.
Criminal Charges are pending after his release from the hospital.
FHP says the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Bay County Fire Department and the Bay County EMS Service helped assist in the case.
