The Panama City Police Department says one person is dead following an accident on New Year’s Eve along Highway 231.
According to law enforcement, at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Highway 231 and Star Avenue.
We are told the preliminary investigation indicates a Ford F-150 was traveling north on 231 when a pedestrian attempted to cross the road.
Officers said 23-year-old Alyssa Fox from Panama City was hit by the vehicle and was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
