A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday evening in a crash on US-301, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on November 24, 2025, around 6:06 p.m., when a 60-year-old Zephyrhills woman was traveling northbound in a Chevy pickup on US-301, just north of Pretty Pond Road.
Troopers say an 86-year-old Zephyrhills man attempted to walk across the highway and entered the path of the pickup. He was struck by the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
No additional injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
