Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report a man fell asleep while driving near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, causing a crash that ejected a passenger from the vehicle. The report said that they had died from their injuries.
On Nov. 23, around 4 a.m., a man was driving south on Interstate 275 with three passengers when he lost control of the vehicle, striking a tree and a guardrail, according to the FHP report. A 27-year-old female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver and the other two passengers were not injured.
