PCSO: Two people injured in early Sunday morning shooting in Davenport

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two people were injured in a shooting in Davenport Sunday morning.

The PCSO said it received several calls reporting a shooting that occurred outside on Famagusta Drive in Davenport around 3:38 a.m. Callers reported that a group of young men were fighting and then began shooting at each other. Responding deputies saw several people running and driving away from the scene.

One victim was taken to the hospital by a friend or family member, and another was located at the scene. Both have non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies have not located any other victims.

Detectives are working to locate and interview witnesses and determine what led up to the shooting.
