Pedestrian airlifted after crash in Hialeah Gardens

Medics airlifted a pedestrian to Jackson Memorial Hospital after a crash in Hialeah Gardens on Friday morning.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the crash happened at around 5:50 a.m. at Okeechobee Road and Northwest 87th Avenue.

The victim, an adult, was airlifted as a trauma-alert patient, an MDFR spokesperson said.

State troopers and Hialeah Gardens police were still at the scene just after 7:15 a.m.

Local 10 News has contacted the Florida Highway Patrol seeking additional information about the crash and the victim’s condition.
