Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by semi-truck in Bay County

One pedestrian is critically injured following an accident with a semi-truck on U.S. 231.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Wednesday evening around 8:40 p.m. the 43-year-old Abbeville man was walking in the outside southbound lane of U.S. 231 when a car traveling in the same direction hit the pedestrian.

Officials say the driver did not see the man, the 43-year-old is currently in critical condition.
